Merlin PCM with failsafe and parachute recovery
We have been manufacturing the Merlin 8 channel PCM radio set for over 15 years, incorporating everything a modeller needs. The Merlin is the only all British radio set in production and is supplied with 5 servos, including a metal geared elevator servo, as well as leads,
re-chargeable batteries and switch harness.
The set comes with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE, and will be set up to your own specific requirements e.g. Mode 1, Mode 2, Left or right handed, any option needed. Our extensive workshop facility has a full set of testing equipment, and we match each transmitter, receiver and crystal set for optimum performance.
Unlike many modern radios the Merlin transmitter has a metal case to improve range. It has a full range of mixers and controls on the front of the transmitter, so flyers have an instant visual check of how the model is set up. Many of these mixers and controls can be altered in flight to cope with varying conditions.
Standard Features of the Merlin include:
PCM Failsafe with Parachute Recovery in the event of interference or loss of signal to the receiver. If the signal is regained by the receiver full control can be re-established.
Exponential or linear control of all flying services variable in-flight
Combined rudder/aileron mixing for those slow flying old-timers
Twin-servo aileron function with flap mixing
Electronic aileron differential variable in-flight
Flap/elevator mixing to overcome the variation in pitch when flaps are applied
Full Delta mixing
Throttle/rudder mixing
Servo reverse on all channels
Rate switches on aileron and elevator
Low power audible warning buzzer
The complete system is supplied in a durable metal flight box at a price of �399.
As part of our commitment to service we will check out any Merlin installation, and include a test flight at the Academy flying site.
Parachute Recovery System
